Creamobile was in Dubai for GITEX Global 2023, the largest technology event in the world.
Held for the 43rd time this year, the fair is one of the few places where you can see where the industry is heading in a single hall. The sessions and meetings we joined gave us an outside view against which to test our own product roadmap.
What GITEX Global is
Started in 1981 as an information and communication technologies office equipment fair, GITEX is organised today by the Dubai World Trade Centre and remains the largest event of its kind. It is not only a showcase for new products; it is an indicator of where the industry is putting its investment.
The fair hosted 6,000 exhibitors from 180 countries and more than 200,000 visitors.

The headline topics
The 2023 agenda was set by artificial intelligence, 5G, smart cities and blockchain. For us the real question was not the technologies themselves but how they fit inside enterprise processes: at which step they genuinely reduce workload, and at which step they only add another layer.

What we took away
The conversations with industry leaders and the partnership talks sharpened our product priorities. The real value of the fair is getting, in a few days and straight from the source, what would otherwise take a year of reading.
