ProdIoT is a multi-platform IoT productisation infrastructure developed by Creamobile with KOSGEB R&D support.
The problem
Between turning a hardware idea into a prototype and turning it into a product lies a distance where most projects stall. A prototype works with a single device and by hand; a product needs devices to be provisioned in bulk, updated remotely, to have their data collected and to be managed from a mobile interface. Writing that layer from scratch for every hardware project means doing the same work again and again.
The solution: a hardware-independent shared layer
ProdIoT makes this repeated layer independent of the hardware: device definition, data collection, remote management and the mobile interface all come from one infrastructure. The hardware team can focus on the device and the software side on the product itself.
The R&D side
The infrastructure was developed under KOSGEB R&D support. Creamobile also runs R&D projects within Mersin University Technopark; ProdIoT is one output of that line of work.
Where it has been used
The same approach has been used in other projects where hardware and software become a product together. Exoprom, our fuel and fleet automation system, is one example of that line, with the field device and the back end working as one.
